The Tronador II is a two stage rocket developed by Argentina. Modeled after the Tronador I rocket.


Developed the Condor I and Condor II ballistic missiles, but doscontinued the program due to international pressure, mostly from the U.S. The Condor II missile had a 900km range.

Secret program to develop nuclear weapons discontinued.

Yarara unmanned aerial vehicle. Made in Argentina. Named after a type of South American snake.

During the 1982 conflict in the Falkland Islands, Argentina used British made Canbera bombers to bomb British positions on the islands. The British also used Canbera bombers against Argentine forces.

During the 1982 war in the Malvinas, Argentine Navy Super Etendard aircraft armed with Exocet missiles, sank 2 British warships.

An Exocet anti-ship missile launched from a land based vehicle damaged another British warship. The Exocets were cannibalized from the Argentine destroyer ARA Guerrieo.

During the 1982 conflict in the Malvinas, the Argentinians used British made Blowpipe missiles against British aircraft and actually shot down a Harrier. The British were also using the Blowpipe against Argentine forces.
